A UK Spouse Visa in Thailand allows spouses of UK nationals or permanent residents to be immigrants to the United Kingdom.   • – Both parties should be at least 18 years or older;
  • –  Both parties should have personally met and married to each other legally;

  • –  The UK national or petitioner should be able to meet the minimum financial requirements;
  • – For those who are married to a British national, you will be granted the UK Spouse Visa which has a probationary validity of 2 years and 9 months;
  • – For couples who are still together after completing the probationary period of the visa will be eligible to apply for the Leave to Remain, entitling the holder to stay further in the United Kingdom;
  • –  For couples who have been together for five years or longer in the United Kingdom will be eligible to apply for the Indefinite Leave to Remain which gives the holder the status of permanent residency in the United Kingdom;

  • – Thai spouse should meet the English Language requirement;

  • – British spouse should be legally married to the visa applicant;
  • – British spouse should be able to provide evidence of suitable accommodation in the United Kingdom for the Thai spouse and her dependents;
  • – British spouse should be able to provide evidence of genuine relationship with the visa applicant: photos together, email exchanges and money transfer receipts;
  • – British spouse should be able to provide evidence of financial stability;

Both the Thai spouse and the UK national should be able to gather all he documents required for the application. All the paperwork will be merged together to make up a visa application packet to be submitted to the UKVI, biometrics taken at the UK VFS, which will then be forwarded to the British Embassy for evaluation.
